Welcome to my blog! This is a place where I can share my learning. My blog is a collection of questions, ideas, learning in progress and finished work.
Our school-wide theme this year is 'In Our Backyard. Kia mau ki te tokanga nui a noho - there is no place like home.' Please make comments so I can deepen my understanding, learn about new ideas and improve my work.
Malo e lelei Philippa. Thank you for sharing your news article about Rangitoto Island with us. Did you know that Rangitoto's full name in Te Reo Maori is Te Rangi- i totongia te ihua Tama-te-kapua?
Hi Philly, you have written really well in your article, I like the way you have included a reference to the scientists...just like a real reporter. Did you enjoy this task?
Kia ora Philippa! Sarah here from Garden to Table. Your newspaper article is very professional, well done! Rangitoto is my favourite volcano. I like to image the astonishment of the Maori people who were present in the area during its eruption! I liked Ms Tuipulotu's comment about the full name of Rangitoto. I'm going to look up what the full name means!
